Super Formula champion Nick Cassidy broke the lap record at the Circuit International Automobile Moulay El Hassan for Envision Virgin Racing and ended the session fastest as the Formula E rookie test concluded in Marrakesh.

New Zealander Cassidy posted the new lap record on the 2.971km long track in the afternoon session with a 1:16.467, finishing over four tenths ahead of former F2 driver Sergio Sette Camara, who was recently announced as GEOX Dragon's test and reserve driver. Filipe Albuquerque was third in Jean-Eric Vergne’s DS Techeetah.

DS Techeetah called-up Nicholas Lapierre late on but he ended in fourth place, while Kyle Kirkwood completed the top five for BMW i Andretti Motorsport.

Jamie Chadwick impressed with Panasonic Jaguar Racing, ending the session in 13th place, with Alice Powell finishing in 21st place in the other Envision Virgin Racing car, with the pair completing 89 and 83 laps respectively.

ROKiT Venturi Racing completed the most laps with 184 in the hands of Norman Nato and Arthur Leclerc, younger brother of Ferrari driver Charles.

The Formula E season continues in just over a month's time in Italy for the Rome E-Prix on April 4.
