Alfa Romeo must be strong at the start: "We have to take points in the beginning"

Antonio Giovinazzi was not the happiest driver on Thursday morning. The Italian lost control of his car in the wet conditions and was able to write off his rear wing after a collision with the wall.

"They were not easy circumstances this morning with that rain and the win. I lost the car during the exit of that bend and slid into the wall. I just lost the car, that was a pity," Giovinazzi told GPblog. There was not much panic, because the Italian finally came back into action.

Giovinazzi ready for 2020

Giovinazzi was in the wagon again in the afternoon, which allowed him to collect a mountain of data. With a total of 92 laps, an ideal number of laps was not achieved, but more teams seemed to be bothered by the amount of wind and rain.

Giovinazzi is at the start of his second season in Formula 1 and approaches that a lot more relaxed. "I'm more relaxed than last year. I now know how I want to tackle a race weekend and what I have to do to get there immediately. At the start, we have to grab points and I have to be ready for that," the Italian concludes.
