Max Verstappen has a whole host of F1 records to his name, from youngest to start a race to youngest winner, but he only has one season left to beat Sebastian Vettel's record as F1's youngest champion. Vettel took the record from Lewis Hamilton when he won the 2010 title in dramatic style at the final race in Abu Dhabi, kickstarting his era of dominance in F1.

Vettel was 23 years and 134 days old when he won his first title and Verstappen turn 23 two months before the end of the 2019 season, so it is now or never for the record.

The Dutchman told Auto Zeitung: "It would be nice, yes. But I always want to fight for titles, whether I am the youngest or not.

"I hope I get the chance this season. I will give everything. I am sure we will have a good year. But of course we have to wait and see."

Of course a lot depends on Red Bull and if they can produce a car that allows Verstappen to compete with Ferrari and Mercedes for the title. Of course their is the obstacle of Lewis Hamilton, but Verstappen is a top quality driver and capable of taking the fight to Hamilton on his day.
