Lance Stroll is looking forward to Racing Point having a preseason to ensure that they have a successful 2020. The team took over from Force India at the start of 2019, meaning that the team were unable to prepare as well as they would have liked. Stroll hopes that they can develop over the winter and have a successful 2020.

Stroll joined the team from Williams after his father, Lawrence Stroll, took over Force India. The difference between the two teams was noticeable.

"The transition felt like I was in a different class," Stroll was quoted by Crash.net“Formula 1 is constantly changing. The tires are different, the car is being developed with more experience in my pocket and I think that the coming year will be very exciting for the team.

"2020 will be representative in that regard when it comes to showing what we can achieve during a winter. How strong we are when we appear on the grid in Melbourne."

Racing Point will be looking to develop over the winter and ensure that they start the season as well as they can to ensure they are in the fight at the end of the season.

“If you place the two next to each other, you will see the difference in speed anyway. If you look at the grid, there is clearly a more competitive atmosphere. I think everyone in the team is looking at 2020 full of excitement. In that year we still have some things to make up for!"

Racing Point will hope to have a more successful year in 2020 and make their mark on the midfield.
