Charles Leclerc has admitted himself and Sebastian Vettel must not be as aggressive when racing each other and insists the Brazil Grand Prix incident will never happen again.

Leclerc and Vettel were both forced to retire after they came together when fighting for place during the closing stages of the race at Interlagos. Vettel was fighting back against his teammate when the slightest of touches caused monumental damage which took both of them out.

Leclerc felt they have to be less aggressive when competing against each other and admitted that the smallest of contact was a disaster for the team.

"We looked at the images to understand what we could have done better," Leclerc said as quoted by Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I think it was a very unfortunate episode because it was a slight contact with dramatic consequences, both for the team and for the fans."

With the saga put to bed, the Monegasque is confident it won't happen again.

"We should try to be less aggressive between us so as not to make it happen again. We talked about it in Maranello, when I was there at the simulator: I don't think it will happen again."
