Ferrari on clash between Vettel and Leclerc: "The issue has been fully addressed"

The crash between Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc has given Ferrari a bit of a headache during the last week. When the politics were cooling down between the Ferrari teammates, it has reached its peak once again. The latest report insists Ferrari have addressed the situation as Mattia Binotto has been in contact every day.

The result of the crash means Vettel now needs a miracle in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to finish ahead of his teammate. The German needs to win the race while Leclerc picks up less than five points.

Leclerc and Vettel have had verbal conflicts and mental battles, but the Brazilian Grand Prix was the first time the two actually touched on track. These two drivers are seemingly the new Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, just without an F1 world championship to fight each other for.

The daily routine at Ferrari since the clash is not much different, but the team boss has given it a lot of attention with the duo: “Since last Sunday, Mattia (Binotto) talks to the drivers every day. That is something they normally do by the way," says a Ferrari representative in BBC news coverage.

"The issue has since been fully addressed and we are focusing on Abu Dhabi," he concludes. What exactly has been discussed and how the team deals with duelling in the future is not disclosed.
