Red Bull Racing break the world record...again!
Aston Martin Red Bull Racing returned to the top step of the podium after a mini race-win drought for Max Verstappen. Going into the final five laps of the Brazilian Grand Prix, they looked likely to record their first one-two since the 2016 Malaysian Grand Prix. But one thing they've been consistently at the top with is their pit-stop records.
The Red Bull Racing team have broken the world record once again. A magnificent pit-stop lasting just 1.82 seconds helped Verstappen return to the track in front of Lewis Hamilton. The Mercedes driver failed his undercut attempt.
Williams are still finding themselves on the podium for the fastest pit-stops. They recorded times which were quick enough for second and third place. At one point in the race, Robert Kubica and Verstappen almost collided in the pitlane.
With the pit-stop result this weekend, it means the Red Bull Racing team have won the pit-stop world championship with one race remaining. This makes them the first team to retain this title after winning it last season. The F1 world champions, Mercedes, sit fourth in the pit-stop table while Racing Point and Haas line the bottom of the field.
