Ferrari set the fastest times in FP2 with a one-two finish for Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc at the Brazilian Grand Prix in the dry as Robert Kubica crashed out in the first few minutes.

It only took five minutes for the red flag to be brought out as Kubica lost control of his Williams down the Senna Esses, going into the barriers and losing his front wing, bringin the session to a stop briefly.

Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen traded times at the top of the leader board before both Ferrari drivers stormed to the front in short succession.

Vettel went two and a half tenths quicker than teammate Leclerc with Lewis Hamilton closely behind.

Not much changed as driver came in for a period of time for adjustments and changed onto the soft compound tyre from mediums, leaving George Russell in his Williams on track for a while.

The faster tyres on most drivers returned to the track with Leclerc taking the lead before Vettel regained it with a time of 1:09.217, after Bottas caused issues for Hamilton and the German in trying to get out of the way on track.

Times stood for the rest of the sessions at the top other than Verstappen creeping into third behind Ferrari, as some drivers returned to the pits to prepare for long runs for the last half an hour as Bottas and Leclerc almost collided in the pitlane upon release.

Pierre Gasly's Honda engine for his Toro Rosso cut out going into the second straight bring out a virtual safety car briefly while it was recovered as the battle of the midfield looks tight.

Only for the other Toro Rosso to bring out the red flag with five minutes to go in a move similar to Albon from Daniil Kvyat going into the wall with his engine cutting out in the process.

Kevin Magnussen's Haas finished P6 with only four tenths separating him and those down to Lance Stroll's SportPesa Racing Point in P17.
