On lap five of the Mexican Grand Prix, Max Verstappen was trying to overtake Valtteri Bottas. As he did so, the Dutchman clipped Bottas which gave him a puncture just as he was driving past the pitlane. Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team advisor Helmut Marko points the blame in the direction of Bottas.

From the fourth place started Verstappen collided with Hamilton. To make up for lost time, the Red-Bull driver made a risky attack in the stadium section in the sixth round. The RB15 from Verstappen made contact with the W10 from Bottas. The result was a flat rear tire.

Auto Motor und Sport reports: "With the pace that we had, we could still win the race," said Christian Horner who was assured that the incident with Hamilton did not really matter.

“But then the flat tyre came. That tyre has ruined the entire race."

Helmut Marko assists Horner: "Bottas could certainly have been more careful"

Bottas, in turn, is not aware of any guilt: “Max arrived so quickly, I cannot dissolve and disappear in the air. "
