It's time again to go racing! After a week away from the sport, the drivers can look forward to jumping back into the cockpits as the 2019 F1 season starts to draw to a close. Last time out in Japan, qualifying was moved to Sunday morning because of the incoming typhoon that hit the area. This time, qualifying is back to the usual time!

Max Verstappen has won the last two races on the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez circuit, but the Dutchman has only been on pole once at the venue. As usual, the day before will feature two practice sessions, with the third practice session starting before the qualifying.

In the opposite to last week in Japan, the track times start later than usual. The action will take place in the evening, at least it won't be early in the morning this time!

Practice times

Free Practice 1 - Friday, 4pm - 5.30pm (UK time)

Free Practice 2 - Friday, 8pm - 9.30pm (UK time)

Free Practice 3 - Saturday, 4pm - 5pm (UK time)

When does the F1 qualification start?

At 7pm the lights in the pit lane will turn green again. About an hour later we know which driver can start the race on Sunday from the first place. It remains to be seen whether the qualification will take place on a dry track. The chance of rain seems to have decreased slightly, but it shouldn't be ruled out!

Qualifying - Saturday, 7pm - 8pm (UK time)

Lewis Hamilton doesn't expect to find himself on the podium this weekend. The Mercedes car usually struggles when cooling is more important. The thin air due to the high altitude makes it harder to keep the car cool.
