Carlos Sainz moved up to sixth in the drivers' standings following Japan and he will look to build on this as the teams head to Mexico this weekend for the latest instalment of the 2019 season.

The Spaniard came through in fifth in Japan which enabled him to overtake Pierre Gasly in the standings.

Mexico has the longest run to the first corner of all the grids on the circuit and the 1.4-mile altitude will cause the drivers plenty of problems.

"I'm excited to get back in the car for the Mexican Grand Prix. It's an amazing event and a challenging circuit, so I'll be making sure I give it my all and aim for good points once again, Sainz said in the McLaren preview.

"I enjoy the city a lot and how all the Mexican fans support the Grand Prix, so I look forward to meeting many of them over the weekend."

McLaren are currently fourth in the constructors' standings and will be looking to hold off Renault in the final four races who are 34 points further back.
