Alex Albon is very inexperienced at the Suzuka Circuit and the last time he raced here was in a go-kart. This weekend he will race here for the first time in a Formula 1 car with Aston Martin Red Bull Racing and the British-Thai racer is hoping to battle near the front.

"I only raced with karts here," Albon said. “So I am really looking forward to what it is like in a Formula 1 car. It is the circuit that I have been looking forward to most all year round."

Albon is hoping that the Japanese fans will get behind him and provide the extra boost to get him on the podium. At the beginning of the year, Albon Joined Max Verstappen at a demo in Tokyo and received a lot of support then. But Verstappen has warned him that the fans will be a lot more passionate this weekend.

Albon is hoping to impress so that he can hold onto his Red Bull Racing seat for 2020.

“The last time in Russia I was able to fight back well from the pits to finally a fifth place. Hopefully this weekend I have no problems and a better starting position so that I can fight at the front.”

Albon will hope to impress and battle for a place near the front of the grid.
