Qualifying at the Italian Grand Prix was interesting. Charles Leclerc impressed once again and will start the race on pole. There was a strange incident at the end of Q3 and perhaps some rules need to be changed? Here are 5 things we took away from qualifying at the Italian Grand Prix.

1. Rules need to be stricter.

The final part of Q3 was bizarre. Nobody wanted to be the first one to lead the train of cars out and miss out on a slipstream. This caused them all to drive painfully slowly and actually miss judge their times, meaning they couldn't set another lap. If there were stricter rules on a minimum lap time this could all have been avoided.

2. Charles Leclerc will be a future world champion.

The Ferrari driver has picked up some real confidence after his first race win last time out at the Belgian Grand Prix. He is on pole again this weekend and will be hoping to fight for another race victory. If these performances continue, it won't be long before he finds himself in a battle for the championship.

3. Renault are improving.

Renault looked fast during today's qualifying session. They start tomorrow's race in 5th and 6th and seem to have really improved over the past week. They will hope to take the battle to McLaren in the final stint of the championship.

4. Don't rule Mercedes out.

Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas looked fast today and will definitely be pushing Leclerc all the way during the race tomorrow. The Silver Arrows will be desperate to get back on the top step of the podium after a few winless weeks.

5. Has Kimi Raikkonen lost his touch?

Kimi Raikkonen crashed out of qualifying in Q3 and also crashed on Friday during a practice session. Has the Alfa Romeo driver just been unfortunate or is the Iceman's age starting to show?

Tomorrow's race will be very exciting and you can stay up to date with all the action right here!
