On Thursday, Formula 1 confirmed that the Italian Grand Prix would remain on the calendar until at least the 2024 season. Team bosses are happy to keep returning to the historic Monza venue as they revealed their thoughts during the press conference.

Binotto of Ferrari"We are very happy with the announcement. An Italian Grand Prix is good for Ferrari, but also for the sport and the fans. A race in Italy is fundamental, we are celebrating 90 years of Ferrari this year and also 90 years of the Italian Grand Prix. It's part of history and we can't miss that."

Franz Tost of Toro Rosso shares that opinion: "I think it is very important and good news that Monza remains on the calendar. As we know, Monza is essential for the history of Formula 1. It has many highlights and for me, it is one of the most important circuits related to history. Just like Silverstone and there should also be a race in Germany, Monaco and Spa. These are the circuits in Europe that we need races on."

In conclusion, Claire Williams also confirms that Monza is important for the sport, despite visiting new locations: "Monza is a historic race and should stay on the F1 calendar, just as it is good that we are going to do new circuits. Monza is a great job and a lot of fans are approaching, especially for Ferrari, but I know there are also some Williams fans. It's good to race in places where so many fans come to."
