The 2020 Formula 1 season will feature an unprecedented total of 22 races. Races in the Netherlands and Vietnam will be added, while only Germany misses out. Yet again, Liberty Media are pushing for more and more races in different countries. Zak Brown doesn't want more races added, but instead a rotation system.

The Spanish Grand Prix looked likely to miss out in 2020, but a last-minute deal secured another year at the Barcelona track. He suggests the tracks which are financially comfortable should return every year, while those that struggle financially, appear once every two years.

"The football world cup and the Olympic Games take place every four years. Is it not an option to have Austria and Germany rotate? Or Spain and the Netherlands? You will remain present in these markets and at the same time you create an extra exclusivity because there is not a race every year," Brown said in a conversation with motorsport-total.com
