Breaking: Sergio Perez signs new deal with Racing Point

Sergio Perez has signed a new contract with Racing Point, committing his future until 2022. This means the team will be unchanged for next season with Lance Stroll alongside Perez. This will bring a continued good mix of youth and experience.

This continues the relationship with the team and the driver which began in 2014, and Perez has added five podiums to his tally in that time.

Perez has admitted that he's delighted to have agreed on a new deal with the team.

“I’m very excited to extend my partnership with the team for the next three years. I’ve been working together with this group of people for a long time now and they have become my second family, he told Racingpointf1.com

"Together we have enjoyed a tremendous amount of success and we share the same passion for racing".

This comes at a great time with racing returning this weekend in Belgium following the summer break.
