Summer break grades: How have Red Bull done so far?

Red Bull is the only team apart from Mercedes to have won a Grand Prix so far this season. They have looked fast and reliable and their gamble of using Honda as their engine supplier has really paid off. Max Verstappen has really shone for them but Pierre Gasly struggled to perform which led to him being replaced by Toro Rosso's Alex Albon for the rest of the season.

Red Bull 8/10

Red Bull have been a competitive force in Formula 1 and they seem to be on the charge once again. They have won two races and sit only 44 points behind Ferrari in the constructor's championship. They will hope that with Alex Albon joining the team they will finish races with more points and really push Ferrari and maybe even Mercedes come the end of the season.

The team has performed well and evidence for this comes from the fact that they broke the world record for the fastest pit stop with a 1.91 second stop. Things are going their way and they will continue to improve as the season continues.

Max Verstappen 9/10

The Dutchman has been the standout driver so far this season picking up two wins in Austria and Germany. He has led the team and has really shown that he has matured and developed as a driver over the past season and a half. Only 7 points behind Valtteri Bottas in the driver's championship, fans and pundits are hoping that the Red Bull driver can challenge Mercedes and push for more race wins in the second half of the season.

Pierre Gasly 4/10

Nobody can really be sure what happened to the Pierre Gasly that we saw last season. At Toro Rosso, he looked fast and picked up a number of impressive results. This led to his promotion but the truth is that he struggled to find his feet at Red Bull and perhaps he was rushed into the top team too quickly. The Frenchman was beaten by his teammate constantly and was finding himself battling with the midfield teams instead of fighting for podiums.

Hopefully, he can find some pace at Toro Rosso in the second half of this season or else he could find himself out of Formula 1 completely.
