Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has said that he doesn’t think there are many drivers on the grid that “are more complete than me”.

The past few races have certainly shown Verstappen’s composure and ability to win races after he dropped to eighth off the front row in Austria and came back to win and was consistent in Germany to master the mixed weather.

The Dutchman has always been a feisty character, most notably when he was caught arguing and shoving Esteban Ocon after the two collided while Verstappen was leading the race at the USA Grand Prix.

Many have said how Verstappen has matured over the past year, but he believes that he still acts the same as he has done previously.

Verstappen told Dutch publication Formule 1: “I do the same as what I have done in recent years.

“I think that if I would suddenly start doing different things, it means what I did before that was wrong. And that’s not true.”

The Dutchman does believe that he is a ‘more complete’ driver than before having been racing in Formula 1 for a few years since a young age.

“I started out quite young, so I think that’s pretty normal,” he added.

“Most other drivers in Formula 1 started out at 21 or 22.

“If you look at the grid now, I don’t think that many are more complete than me even if they are 29 or 30.”
