Giovinazzi happy with pace but wants more points!

Antonio Giovinazzi says that he is happy with his pace in his first full season in F1, but desires more points for his efforts.

The Italian has impressed so far this season, especially in qualifying, but has only managed to pick up a single point due to his 10th placed finish in Austria. 

A 30-second penalty in Germany denied Giovinazzi another points haul having finished well inside the top ten at Hockenheim.

According to F1i.com, Giovinazzi said: "From Paul Ricard, but also before, Monaco, I was always really close to Kimi, so I think in qualifying I’m there now, the performance is there.

"I was struggling a bit in races but missing two years is not easy, but in races we’re coming better.

"I’m sure the team knows this improvement and we are working really hard together, the team gives me big support to improve and so far we’re doing a good job.

"I think [the] performance is there, speed is there, [but the] points are not there, for many things."
