Albon finished sixth at the Hockenheimring but will start twelfth for the race in Hungary whilst Kvyat is one place back in 13th after his podium in Germany.

Albon admitted there was potential for the team to make Q3 but expressed his satisfaction with the qualifying result.

“I’m pretty satisfied with P12 after a tough FP2 after the crash. The car had the potential to reach Q3, but we were always just missing something which was a bit frustrating," Albon said on the Toro Rosso website.

"Reaching Q3 would have been nice, but we were two tenths from getting through, the balance was good in some corners and in other places it wasn’t."

With limited places for overtaking at the Hungaroring, Albon felt strategy would be key if they're to make progress come lights out.
