Lewis Hamilton has said that he will not allow the footage of him from the German Grand Prix to be shown on season two of the Netflix series 'Drive to Survive'. Mercedes and Ferrari have given Netflix permission to film after not partaking in season one.

It is thought that the Netflix cameras were only allowed inside the Mercedes garage for one Grand Prix and they chose their home German Grand Prix to film.

“Lewis put the car in the wall, and then we made the wrong call with his tyres. They weren’t ready. From then on we were on the back foot with him. It’s not embarrassing, it’s motorsport. But we have to think about what went wrong," Toto Wolff told the Telegraph

"If things come together, like with Valtteri crashing out at the end, then it ends in an Armageddon weekend for us. We have given the Netflix guys more content than on any other weekend. We will put our heads together and learn.”

It is thought that Hamilton won't let footage of himself be used.

"I won’t be in the Netflix show much, because I was sick the whole time," he said. "I won’t allow them to release that," Hamilton said in the interview with the Telegraph.

Mercedes had a disastrous weekend but the footage the cameras would have got from the garage would have been priceless. It will be interesting to see how much is released.
