Jamie Chadwick is set to earn more than Lando Norris if she wins the W-Series championship this season. The W Series is a new Formula set to try and introduce more women into the top flight of motor racing. The series has been popular and it seems that the finances of the sport have been backed up by this large audience.

Lando Norris is in his first season of Formula 1 and is reportedly earning about £400,000 per year with McLaren. The winner of the W-Series, which looks likely to be Jamie Chadwick, is thought to earn around $402,000.

It is incredibly positive that female racers are earning significant money and it suggests that there will be a strong future for the series.

"We are about getting our drivers into upper echelons of motorsport, especially into Formula One, and this represents an absolute sea change in opportunities for women in motorsport," W Series chief executive Catherine Bond-Muir said to the Independent.

"Being involved in W Series is giving drivers the real chance to get into Formula One because you need those super license points to compete."

With the success of the W-Series, it seems likely that women will be racing in Formula 1 before too long.
