Robert Kubica made an incredible comeback to get to where he is now after his horrific rally crash which saw him damage his arm and hand. However, he believes that Williams' poor performance's so far this season has made what he has done look less impressive. The Polish driver wants people to remember where he had to come back from and how hard he's worked.

Kubica would like to be fighting higher up the grid but is also pleased just to be racing in Formula 1 again.

"Frustration is not a correct word," he said to Autosport.com. "In the end, it is still better being here than sitting on the sofa and watching Formula 1 on the television.

"Definitely I would be happier if I was fighting higher up and having less problems."

The Williams driver believes that what he has done looks less impressive because he is at the back of the grid at every Grand Prix.

"All in all, in these last months, unfortunately, this difficult situation puts a lot of shadow on what I achieved and how big [an] achievement it was for me to be back here.

"This is something which I also forget because Formula 1 is a fast sport and everything happens very fast, so you somehow live day-by-day.

"You forget that in the end, I achieved something which I was working on for many years."

Many have been critical of Kubica's performance so far this season but perhaps if they remember what he had to overcome they will remember how impressive it is that he is just on the grid.
