Williams driver George Russell has revealed he will go into this weekend's Austrian Grand Prix with "greater confidence" after making some good memories at the Red Bull Ring.

Russell has previously won there in GP3 and Formula 2, and despite being in one of the two worst cars on the grid nowadays, the youngster has insisted he will go to Austria with confidence.

"I am looking forward to the Austrian Grand Prix," Russell explained. "It is a track I put it on pole and won, both in GP3 and FIA Formula 2. I have good memories which will give me greater confidence ahead of the weekend."

Russell isn't getting carried away, though, and realises with Williams' current package, it will be another tough weekend for the British team: "I expect it to be a tough time again for us, but I am going to go out there and focus on getting the most out of the package."

Austria marks the first back-to-back race of the 2019 season, and with Russell's rather disappointing P19 finish in France, the F2 champion will be aiming to once again beat his team-mate Robert Kubica when the pair take to the Red Bull Ring.
