Boss Otmar Szafnauer says Racing Point has "plenty more upgrades in the pipeline" as they look to score points consistently. The midfield battle is super tight, and the Pink Panthers sit right in the middle of it.

Racing Point sit 11 points from midfield leaders McLaren, but just six points from 9th placed Alfa Romeo. With gains and loses to be made, Szafnauer knows both Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll must start scoring consistently.

"It’s very tight in the midfield, and I can see the fight going all the way to the last race. That’s why it’s paramount that we continue scoring points consistently," Szafnauer said.

"It’s fair to say race pace has been our strength, while we need to improve our qualifying performance."

The team is bringing upgrades to the car more often than not. During the first third of the season, Racing Point added a number of improves to the car they had in pre-season. The team boss reports they've worked well and says there's more on the way.

“We have taken some good steps forward with the car since the start of the year and there are plenty more upgrades in the pipeline too. When the middle of the grid is separated by tenths of a second, you’ve got to bring performance steps to the track as soon as you can and that’s our focus in the lead up to the summer break," he added.
