The FIA have presented Formula 1 teams with their final budget-cap of $175m between 2021 and 2025, with the sport's regulation changes coming into fruition.

Finally, it looks as if the regulation changes for the 2021 season have FINALLY been decided. According to Auto Motor und SportF1 teams will only be allowed to spend $175 million between the seasons of 2021-2025.

The plan was concluded on Tuesday earlier this week, something that had been on the minds of team bosses for a substantial amount of time now. Over 14 months, to be precise.

From the third year (2024), an inflation supercharge will be introduced to the plan.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff had this to say on the plan finally coming to an end: "We could use part of our people for external projects. For example, our wind tunnel, which we already rent to customers. This business could be expanded."

Other team bosses have had their opinions on the matter as well. Here's Renault team boss Cyril Abiteboul: "This is not a new start. The plan was that all teams should be profitable.

"The bill does not work out for the private teams. A small team may expect $100m from the Liberty Media pot in the future. It would then have to find sponsors for 150 million to generate profit."

Driver salaries, engines, travel and marketing aren't included, though, leaving some of the "smaller" teams furious with the compromise.
