Red Bull team principal Christian Horner believes that Formula 1's official 2021 car rules can now be signed off in June, despite calls for a delay to finalise the changes.

F1 is set to introduce a major overhaul in two years' time, but there have been some concerns about an early release of the plans, that could give the top teams an advantage to prepping themselves for the change in regulations.

Horner was behind a push to delay the finalisation of the rules until December because of that reason. However, Horner revealed after the Spanish Grand Prix at the weekend, that the initial June timeframe now looks more likely again.

"At the moment, it looks like it should be in June and then inevitably the teams with more resource will look at it earlier than the teams with less resource, which is why I was certainly pushing for it to be released around October," Horner said to Motorsport.com

"It's more likely to be June and then updated in October."
