Wolff: Mercedes "still have good ideas" to develop 2019 car further

Toto Wolff has said that his team still have some ideas on ways to improve their car. Mercedes have been totally dominant so far this season picking up a one-two finish at all five of the season's opening races. Despite their recent domination, the team aren't going to get complacent and will look to continue to improve each weekend.

Wolff has highlighted areas that he believes could be improved meaning that Ferrari and Red Bull are going to have to seriously improve if a genuine title battle is to be launched.

“There are steps on the power to come, but with mature regulations, it's not those immense steps that we have seen in the past. But still, some really good work that is being done for engine number two," Wolff said to Motorsport.com.

“In terms of unleashing more performance of the chassis, I think we still have good ideas. It's still just the fifth race with these new regulations and more potential to unlock.

“This is also why we decided to go that way. We felt that with the front wing concept we have followed there is more potential long-term, maybe with the risk of a short-term struggle.”

If Mercedes make these upgrades then it seems that they will become unstoppable and will continue their impressive run.
