Red Bull motorsport advisor Dr Helmut Marko believes the Milton-Keynes-based team has solved its aerodynamic issues that have hurt the team since testing.

So far this season, mid-corner speed has been the area hurting teams most after the issues with finding the tyre operating window with the new 2019 Pirelli rubber.

Mercedes appears to have solved the issue more effectively than its rivals however Red Bull may make a step forward in Spain if Marko's claims are true.

Ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix, Marko told Auto Motor und Sport that Red Bull would be bringing upgrades to Barcelona that would fix its aero problems.

"We have the solution to our aerodynamics problems," he said.

"We are going to introduce it [the update] in Barcelona, and I promise that it will completely solve our problem."

While Red Bull is confident it has found a fix and Mercedes' new front wing introduced in China appears to have helped also, Ferrari may find itself lagging behind its rivals further after an already abysmal start to the 2019 season.
