Christian Horner believes Red Bull is in a very good place and with the upgrades that they have in place for Baku, hopes that they can keep Ferrari behind them. The team boss praised both of his drivers and hopes that they can do enough to challenge Ferrari this weekend.

"He is at the top of his skills and enjoys the position he is in," Horner said to Sky Sports F1. "This year he has three strong Grands Prix He was unlucky that he was not on the podium in Bahrain and he made an attempt at Vettel in China after his second stop, after which he finished in fourth."

Horner knows that it is only a matter of time before Ferrari bounce back and Red Bull will be looking to get the maximum amount of points before they do.

"At the moment it's all about collecting points," he said. "The gap for the boys for us is not large and he is still on P3 in the championship for the guests of Ferrari. There is still a long drive to go. It is therefore important that you do not give up too much terrain at this stage of the season."

Pierre Gasly has improved each race weekend and will hope that he can continue to develop as he spends more time in the car.

"The exciting thing about him is that he will only continue to develop and get better," Horner said about Gasly. "It is a good time for Formula 1 with Max, the upcoming talent of Charles Leclerc and hopefully, we will see Pierre Gasly in the future It is exciting that a new generation is coming to the front.
