After another mechanical retirement, Renault's Nico Hülkenberg concedes him and his team have a lot of work to do ahead of the next race in two weeks' time in Baku.

Renault had a promising start to the weekend, putting both cars in Q3 during qualifying and being best of the rest on Saturday, with Hülkenberg qualifying in eighth and his teammate Daniel Ricciardo in seventh.

The Aussie finished in that position as well, but Hülkenberg was less fortunate. The German was nursing mechanical issues and eventually had to pull into the Renault garage and call it a day - yet another mechanical retirement for the French side.

“It’s clearly a very disappointing race for us today," The Hulk reflected.

"It was a difficult start to the race, I lost a position and it was tough following cars ahead. We pitted and came out in some traffic, but then I felt a loss of power. We tried our best to fix it out there as it looked like a software issue, but it wasn’t possible and we had to park up.

"We’re looking into the issue, but it looks like an MGU-K related problem. We have things to work on ahead of the next race, but we will look at everything in detail and come back stronger.”

Hülkenberg and Ricciardo man the 10th and 11th places in the drivers' championship respectively, while Renault now sharing fourth place with Alfa Romeo in the constructors' championship.
