Lewis Hamilton does not believe he has a mental edge over title rival Sebastian Vettel despite the latter spinning out of control during the pair's latest wheel-to-wheel battle in Bahrain.

The pair have previous on the track - with the two having a clash in Monza last season and Vettel coming out worse there as well - but when asked if he had a psychological advantage over his title rival, Hamilton said:

"I don't feel that way, I don't go into a battle with him and feel that I've got one up on him, or anything like that. I enjoy racing wheel-to-wheel with anyone, doesn't matter who it is.

"I go in with the same mentality, so it doesn't matter what driver it is in the world, here or any other class, I'd approach it exactly the same. That's probably not a good question for me, you probably have to ask him!"

Mercedes completed its successive one-two finish in Bahrain, after doing the same in Australia a couple of weeks before.

Ferrari have been the quicker on the straights so far this season, and only technical faults on the Italian's side have let its drivers down. Mercedes are expected to bring several upgrades to its car in China this weekend.
