Dr Helmut Marko has denied that Red Bull Racing have a plan B when it comes to its car in 2019, with the aerodynamic issues becoming evidently clear for the team in Bahrain.

Red Bull team designer Adrian Newey was "deep in thought" in Bahrain, when the car's aerodynamic problems becoming clear.

"That means he recognised the problem," Marko said on Newey being "deep in thought" to Auto Motor und Sport. "We have an aerodynamic problem. I hope (Newey has a solution)."

Team boss Christian Horner believes with the problems that Red Bull have, then it will be difficult to keep the same pace as last season's top two teams, Mercedes and Ferrari.

But Marko was adamant there won't be a new car this season and Red Bull will have to do what they can with its current machine.

Red Bull will bring improvements to China next weekend, with a bigger upgrade being prepared for when the Formula 1 calendar hits Barcelona in May.

Max Verstappen has managed P3 and P4 finishes in Australia and Bahrain, respectively, with Pierre Gasly recording his maiden points-finish for Red Bull last weekend - securing an eighth-place finish for his new side.
