Bahrain usually gives us dry weather, but this year could be different. Showers are expected to fall on both Saturday and Sunday around the desert track.

According to the met office, heavy rain showers are expected during the qualifying session on Saturday. Temperatures do rise to 24c during the day, but it's due to be around 4c cooler by the time the event starts.

Rain showers are again expected to fall on Sunday, but currently, they're not predicted to have an effect on the race. The showers should stop at 12 pm local time, with cloudy conditions expected when the lights go green.

The mercury is set to rise a little higher on Sunday. At the peak, the air temperature around the circuit should be 27c, but drops to 25c as the race begins.
