Williams driver Robert Kubica is looking forward to driving this weekend's Grand Prix in Bahrain, as it is the very circuit where the Pole won the only pole position of his life back in 2008.

This weekend will be the first time for Kubica since 2010 where he'll brave the track. His comeback race in Australia didn't go to plan, however, as the 34-year-old finished in 17th place - the last out of all the cars who finished.

This was partly because of an early pitstop for a broken front wing, but his pace was significantly worse than teammate George Russell's. Can he turn things around this weekend?

"Bahrain is a very different track to Australia, so we will face new challenges, including the increased temperature and track layout,"

"There are a few things to discover but I know the track pretty well. There is a lot of stop and go so the car has to be very stable under braking and have good traction.

"I have good memories of Bahrain as I got my first and only pole position there in 2008 so I am looking forward to it. It can get very hot, so tyres will be an important topic to understand and how to best cope with them so let’s see how we go."
