Ferrari star Sebastian Vettel has had a dig at his Mercedes rival Lewis Hamilton, as the German didn't understand why the Brit was being so slow and complaining about his tyres so much.

Hamilton started in first place but was immediately overtaken by teammate Valtteri Bottas, who started from second. Bottas ran away with the lead and never looked back, even grabbing the extra point for fastest lap in the process. Hamilton finished second.

As for Vettel, who finished fourth after getting overtaken by Max Verstappen, it was a different kind of race. The German admitted Ferrari were slow, but at the same time, he didn't know what was going on with Hamilton.

“I don’t know what Lewis was doing,” Vettel was quoted by RaceFans.

“I think he was probably bored and not happy because he lost the start."

Hamilton was heard complaining about his tyres quite often during the broadcast, saying they wouldn't last until the end until they actually did. Vettel thinks these are mind games.

“I think it’s not the first race where he’s doing something just to go round, he was just playing at that point,”

“I was told also on the radio that he’s complaining about his tyres but I think he made it quite safely to the end. Maybe he wasn’t too happy driving from that point onwards.”

Maybe a quote out of frustration from Vettel, who helplessly finished outside of the podium places.
