Robert Kubica has admitted he has "a lot to discover" when he takes to the circuit next weekend for his second and "emotional" Formula 1 debut.

Kubica has completed a special comeback after suffering severe injuries from the result of a horrific rally-car crash in 2011.

The Pole will drive for new team Williams on Sunday in the Australian Grand Prix, an incredible eight years after the crash that could have cost him his life.

"It will be a very emotional grand prix," Kubica admitted to Crash.net. "It is the second debut for me after being away from the sport for many years.

"My last Formula 1 race was in Abu Dhabi in 2010, so I am looking forward to going to Australia with a few things to cover and learn. I hope to enjoy the weekend and that everything will run smoothly without any big issues so I can concentrate on my driving and discover a new Formula 1.

"It is one thing to drive a Formula 1 car, and it is another thing to actually race it. Over the years, I think the approach to races has changed, so I have a lot of things to discover but I am looking forward to it."

Kubica will drive for Williams following a disastrous pre-season testing in Barcelona where they couldn't introduce their new car for the first two days of testing, with the machine not being ready to drive.
