Mercedes has showed off its Formula E car for the 2019-20 season in a "teaser livery" for the machine.

The car will be available to see at the International Motor Show in Geneva, which takes place between March 7th-17th. Mercedes are set to become the first manufacturer to compete in the all-electric series as well as Formula 1.

"Formula E is going to be a completely new playing field for us," Mercedes boss Toto Wolff said, as quoted by RaceFans. "But we are looking forward to the challenge of demonstrating the performance of our intelligent battery-electric drives in motorsport and of giving a positive boost to the EQ brand."

Gorden Wagener, the chief design officer for Dailmer AG, has offered a little bit more detail into the design of the new livery that's teasing the fans.

"The Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow 01 teaser car gives a foretaste of the first all-electric Silver Arrow from Mercedes-Benz," he said. "Blue accents and the subtle contrast between matt and gloss in conjuction with the star pattern at the rear of the vehicle stage the progressive luxury in electric motorsport."
