Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has delivered a slight jab at Ferrari after the Italian team got off to another strong start in winter testing.

Ferrari was widely regarded as the fastest team during week one, a scenario that has happened in the recent past too only for the team to lose out once the season has gotten underway.

Horner says that while Ferrari has enjoyed a productive first week with the new SF90, they may have jumped the gun a little too soon once again.

"If there was a winter world championship, Ferrari would win it every year," he told Marca.

"But you get no points in the winter. Clearly they have arrived here with a strong car, but these are not even close to the temperatures we will race at."

The Red Bull boss also added his team was feeling confident ahead of the curtain-raiser in Melbourne after a strong first week with new power unit partner Honda.

"There is a change of rules this year, so the winter test times are somewhat confusing right now.

"I don't think they give us a good idea of what the first race will be like, although I could be wrong. But the tests can be deceptive."
