New Renault driver Daniel Ricciardo says he's settling in nicely at his new team, as the Aussie joined the French after five seasons at Red Bull Racing and ten in the Red Bull program.

Pre-season testing hasn't been without issues for Renault, as the team had DRS issues in the first few days, but the Aussie has been able to get to know his new car and his new team quite well.

"It feels cosy," the 29-year-old was quoted by F1i after completing the first week of testing.

"I feel like I am comfortable with everyone. It feels normal, walking into the meeting rooms and that. The debriefs, it feels familiar.

"The way everyone is engaging with me has been positive, and they are certainly trying to draw as much as they can out of me."

His new teammate, Nico Hülkenberg, might not be of the same calibre as Max Verstappen, but Ricciardo is happy with his relationship with the German.

"Nico and I are on the same page. Yesterday the main things we talked about were identical on where to improve the car. That's a positive, that we are both asking for the same things.

"It is hard to ask too much in terms of testing, as it never runs perfect - or I have never been in a perfect car in pre-season."

Renault look to build on their best-of-the-rest season in 2018 and hope to close the gap to the top three teams, a gap which was over 300 points last season. They'll have their work cut out for them.
