Williams are set to finally start testing the new FW42 later today, on the third day of testing, as the Grove-based team have finalised preparations on the car behind the scenes in their garage.

The team finished in 10th place last year in the constructors' championship, the worst placement in team history, and things haven't gone much better since. Title sponsor Martini has left, and new drivers George Russell and Robert Kubica, while talented, are both very inexperienced with the new car.

For Williams to miss two and a half days of testing is crucial, as the team will miss out on a lot of data now that other teams háve been gathering on Monday and Tuesday. Ferrari, for example, have over 300 laps logged already.

Williams will now finally start testing today. Let's see if the FW42 was worth the wait...
