F1 LIVE: The second day of pre-season testing!

It’s the second day of F1’s winter testing and an opportunity for those drivers who didn’t drive yesterday to get a go today.

On day 1, Sebastian Vettel topped the timesheets for Ferrari, followed by McLaren’s Carlos Sainz and Haas’ Romain Grosjean.

There was trouble for Grosjean and new Alfa Romeo driver Kimi Raikkonen, who found themselves in the gravel traps in the morning, before Sainz stopped on track in the afternoon.

Mercedes were way down the order, but Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas were most likely not giving it the full beans, so it will be interesting to see if their times improve on Tuesday.

Antonio Giovinazzi, Lando Norris, Alex Albon, Charles Leclerc, Lance Stroll, Pierre Gasly and Kevin Magnussen will get their first experiences of 2019 testing today, with their team mates sitting the day out.

One notable absence will be Williams, after it was announced yesterday that they would not be participating in Tuesday’s running, a hammer blow for George Russell and Robert Kubica as they try to prepare for the season.
