Formula 1 returns this weekend with the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku. The street circuit is known to create high drama and, as Zak Brown stated, can be "crazy" at times. The weather is not expected to be overly influential this weekend, but good conditions are forecast. However, drivers will have to watch out for the wind.
Recent Formula 1 races have seen good weather, though rain featured during the Dutch and Belgian Grand Prix weekends. Last time out, F1 drivers had to battle hot conditions. At Zandvoort, the wind created many problems and challenges on the circuit. It could also be windy in Baku this weekend.
What is the weather forecast for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend?
Friday and Saturday saw sun and high temperatures hit the Baku City Circuit. For Sunday, the same is expected, but with temperatures just a little lower. According to Weather.com, the temperature for Sunday is expected to reach highs of 26 degrees Celsius for the Grand Prix, a couple of degrees cooler than yesterday. During the day, the wind is expected to reach rights of 19 mph before the race, and then stay at around 15 mph for lights out. However, there is a 0% chance of rain, so the drivers will steer clear of any changes in strategy.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will occur on Sunday at 12pm UK time.
