F1 Helmut Marko on Max Verstappen's future, Stroll on Adrian Newey deal

While Helmut Marko has talked about how things stand with Max Verstappan's title chances, the Dutchman's future and Red Bull Racing current situation, Lawrence Stroll opened up about talking to top designer Adrian Newey. In an exclusive interview, Franco Colapinto's former team principal, Sander Dorsman talked to us about the Argentian youngster. Red Bull underline that Verstappen's title is the priority

According to top advisor Helmut Marko, Max Verstappen winning the World Drivers' Championship is the most important goal of the team. While Max Verstappen wants a 'new car' built by Red Bull according to Dutch pundit and former driver Robert Doornbosthe Austrian advisor also remained mysterious about the Dutchman's future following the 2026 season. "That's so far away. Now our full focus is on the 2024 World Championship," he said talking to OE24.

Lawrence Stroll opens up about Adrian Newey negotiations

Yesterday, GPblog could confirm that Adrian Newey will sign with Aston Martin, and the master designer will join the British team next year, with the deal to be announced ahead of the Azerbaijan GP in Baku. Talking to Bloomberg, the team's owner, Lawrence Stroll gave an insight on the process of signing the Briton. "Adrian and I have been talking not only for months but actually for years. Adrian is clearly the most talented and gifted individual in F1 based on his track record and history. So I'd be very excited for Adrian to join our team, as I think every other F1 team on the grid would feel exactly the same," the Canadian said.

Newey's manager, Eddie Jordan also talked about the engineers next step. Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso has already got an Adrian Newey-designed car himself in Monaco. The Spaniard now has an Aston Martin Valkyrie in his garage. Additionally, rumours suggest that Ferrari themselves decided to leave signing Newey, as the Italian team did not want to enter a bidding war.
