Experienced European Formula 3 driver Guanyu Zhou and Brazilian Formula 4 champion Caio Collet are the new additions to the academy which was set up in 2016.

Max Fewtrell, Christian Lundgaard both retain their positions after coming first and second respectively in the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2018, with Victor Martins also staying in the setup.

Anthoine Hubert steps up after being an affiliated driver following a successful 2018 which involved him winning the GP3 series.

When it was first launched the goal was to help the racers through the junior levels and eventually become a world champion with one of the RSA drivers.

"We're extremely pleased to finalise the 2019 line-up of the Renault Sport Academy," said Renault Sports Racing Managing Director, Cyril Abiteboul in an interview on pitpass.com.

"All six drivers have shown themselves to be exciting talents in the junior categories and we look forward to working with them in 2019; both to aid their career progression and benefit the Formula 1 team.

Abiteboul mentioned how the team aiming to utilise local talent and their 2019 team is representative of that.

“Renault is able to utilise its global markets to discover home-grown talent and potential and the 2019 line-up is a reflection of that.” Added Abiteboul.
