Sky Italia are reporting that Mick Schumacher has signed Nicolas Todt as his new manager, ahead of his debut F2 season.

“The son of the champion, who joined the Ferrari driver academy, has chosen to work with manager Nicolas Todt,” Sky Italia reports.

Todt, who also manages Charles Leclerc believes Schumacher won’t jump the gun when it comes to making his Grand Prix debut.

“Mick does not say now or never,” he told Speed Week a few days ago.

“He knows he still has a lot to learn.

“Most drivers rush everything, and that later turns out to be a mistake,” added Todt.

The 19-year-old is currently managed by Sabine Kehm who also worked with his father, Michael from 2010 as well as looking after Schumacher Sr following his skiing accident in 2013.

Michael also worked with Nicolas’s father, Jean Todt during Ferrari’s glory days and he remains good friends with the family.

Schumacher won five World Championships with Ferrari between 2000 and 2005, retiring in 2006 only to make a comeback with Mercedes in 2010.

“He’s closer to me than ever,” the former Ferrari boss told Bild newspaper recently.

“I would say that I know everything about him.”
