Harry Benjamin is the lead commentator on Sky Sports for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend in Imola. Benjamin will replace David Croft for this race and the Grand Prix weekends in Austria and Azerbaijan.

Who is Harry Benjamin?

Harry Benjamin is a commentator, podcaster, and presenter who has done many voiceovers. He predominantly works in motorsport. Benjamin was born in London and has been involved in Formula 1 since 2021. 

According to his website, he stands at 6 feet 5 inches and boasts a 16 shoe size! Benjamin previously trained as an actor and starred in the West End. He changed careers into broadcasting and joined Formula 1 in 2021.

He joined as the lead commentator for Formula 2, Formula 3, and Porsche Super Cup. The Brit then started commentating on Formula 1 for BBC Radio Five Live in 2023 and remains the lead commentator when not working for Sky Sports. Benjamin was also part of the Sky Kids broadcast during the 2023 Formula 1 season. Benjamin helped the youngsters commentate and present the coverage.

At the Imola Grand Prix, Benjamin will be the second person to lead the commentary on Sky Sports during a Grand Prix itself. David Croft ends his 100% attendance record since Sky took the rights in 2012.

When will David Croft be back?

Benjamin will commentate on Sky Sports to cover David Croft, who will miss three races in 2024. Croft will return to the commentary box at the Monaco Grand Prix, which will take place the weekend after Imola. Croft will miss two more races. These are the Austrian and Azerbaijan Grands Prix.
