Sebastian Vettel has reflected on his season and has been brutally honest with himself.

The 2018 season looked set to be to nail-biting. Two multiple world champions. Two competitive cars. But...

Ferrari's season fell apart. Tactical errors from the team and poor decisions on the track from the drivers meant that Hamilton won the Championship easily.

“Naturally, the year I’ve had, I don’t think I ever had any problems raising my hand if I made a mistake,” Vettel said to formula1.com

“Knowing as well, as a racing driver, how quickly things can go wrong, how quickly things could have gone differently this year, I think, yeah, I have to review a couple of things."

The four-time world champion went on to say, "looking back I haven’t been at the top of my game."

"But that’s how it goes, that’s sometimes why you love racing and sometimes why you hate racing. Now I need a bit of time just to shut things down. I don’t think I need to change things upside down, but certainly, in there I can adjust and get stronger.”

Ferrari look to rebuild and new signing Charles Leclerc will be a valuable asset to the team but Vettel is already establishing himself as the number one driver.
