Charles Leclerc has had one of the most impressive debut seasons that we have seen in recent years, producing terrific performances to score 27 points in a Sauber car that was unfancied at the start of the season.

Last year’s Formula Two champion has earnt himself a move to Ferrari to partner Sebastian Vettel where he will be expected to win races and score podiums, and he has shown this season that he has the quality to do that.

In the last five races, Leclerc has scored 14 points despite retiring in both Japan and the USA, showing his class and ability in the car.

And now the Monegasque driver is keen to finish the season and his Sauber career on a high with good performances in last two races, starting this weekend in Brazil.

He has driven in Friday practice at Interlagos for the last two seasons for Sauber, so knows the circuit already.

“We are heading to Brazil for one of the last two races of the season.” said Leclerc. “After a great result with both cars scoring points in Mexico, we are confident of our potential and will build on the progress we have made so far.”

“We will fight to have another strong result at Interlagos, and give our all to end the season on a positive note. It is an interesting circuit to drive, and I look forward to racing there.”
