Steiner not concerned about possible ban for Grosjean

Romain Grosjean picked up an additional penalty point at the United States Grand Prix. An addition which takes him just two points away from the limit within a 12 month period. His boss Guenther Steiner claims he's not concerned by the risk of suspension.

Grosjean missed his breaking point and hit Charles Leclerc last weekend. He also picked up a three-place grid penalty for next weekends Mexico Grand Prix.

The Frenchman is on the cusp of suspension, but Steiner explains how it won't change anything inside the team.

"No, I wouldn't bandage my head before I've got a hole in it. When it happens, I deal with it," Steiner.

An interesting choice of words from the Austrian. Note he said "when" rather than 'if'.

"If it happens, we are pretty well prepared for any eventuality. There are a few people out there I would call up and see if they would drive. But I think it will be good."

Following the Mexico Grand Prix, a penalty point gets wiped off his licence because he picked it up a year ago. He'll need to be super careful this coming weekend!
